Had a flight where I was in the middle and some fat latino sat next to me. I immediately put the armrest down and he complained but things seemed fine. I fell asleep and woke up to the arm rest up and about 30 pounds of gelatinous mass where my arm used to be. I told him I had to put the arm rest down but he refused and said to "just use him as an armrest". There was too much blubber for me to actually put the arm rest down at this point, believe me I tried. Thankfully the stewardess upgraded me to a better class, but I still wish he would have been disposed of in some way for his crimes.

I flew to japan and did this. Downloaded like 12+ hours of tv shows and movies, brought plenty of games on my deck to play. Instead I started watching dark place the second we boarded the flight, and was finished with it not even 2 hours into the 13 hour flight. I just stared at the back of the seat and out the windows for the next 11 hours. I think I maybe watched like 3 or 4 always sunny episodes, but mostly just resigned to doing nothing.

You try hooking up a sega genesis to a TV while after ingesting a fuck ton of shrooms. It's start to feel like brain surgery. Then you sit down and boy those colors are beautiful, but the concept of moving around is strange and foreign, and exhausting. 5 seconds starts to feel like an hour, and then maybe you roll around on the ground and realize trying to play video games while tripping balls is actually really hard.

Going on a plane it's a similar thing. You have a plan to just consume your media and be done, but your brain and body knows that you're in a giant metallic hunk of junk soaring through the sky, making it difficult to enjoy the things that you would normally enjoy while grounded, at least in the same way. Drugs are like that sometimes.
