It's crazy how nostalgic I feel for the 7th gen consoles now. Back then, I thought it was a lowest point for gaming but I wrong. We had solid online play, no microtransactions, no woke shit, you just popped in a disc and played. No 30GB day one patches, no always online DRM. That era was truly peak gaming before everything went downhill.

Jesus no, it was alright 2005-2007 because it was just a extension of 6th gen at that point.
The only reason id revisit this era, is to fuck around with the XBOX 360 softmod exploit

you were right because at that time it was the lowest point of gaming since the NES era and it introduced almost everything wrong with gaming nowadays

Yeah there's no other reason to revisit this era. Most games of this era has been rereleased in better versions on pc and 8th gen consoles. As much as I love my PS3 I'm not playing games at 24fps in 2025. Better to play on a jailbroken PS4 pro

The patches in that gen were usually tiny like a few 100mb usually and sometimes less. It was very rare to get an update that was over 1gb.

Not really. It had a great UI for whatever screen you used but you needed like 10 feet of space. Disneyland Adventures didn't but I'm glad it got a PC port.
