Is there any point of using dlss at 1080p? Is it more of a thing for higher resolutions?

No

You use DLSS if you are running the game at an inferior resolution. If the game is running at native 1080p there is no need for that.

Yes, DLSS is a rich gets richer kind of technology. If you don't have a 1440p monitor and can't max out 1080p native, don't even bother. 720p to 1080p looks like pure shit.

Frieren is decent at least for being better than 99% of modern anime by having actually genuine, real moments that aren't undermined by tropes and bad writing. Some of the character designs are pretty trash though

1080p is already blurry enough that upscaling will only make it unbearable to look at. Get a 1440p screen even if your rig can't fully handle it and throw dlss on there. It will look better than native 1080p and give you overall more clarity in everything else

Idiot. All these upscales do is make the game render at a lower resolution and then scale it up to the one you're set to.
