I'm genuinely enjoying Bloodlines 2, but there's a few things I think they need to change.
>Rework the sidequests so there's just random people with random problems around the city each night for you to chin-wag with. Scrap the busywork quests, focus on little mini-stories. Look at those NPCs that Fabien interacts with. They could make a mini-quest chain for each of those NPCs when playing with Phyre.
>They should rework the progression system to be tiered. So you can have stronger TK, and higher level versions of skills that do more damage or have wider effect.
>They should make it so that when you pick up an object with TK, you can stash it. So you can have a slot that you can store a gun in, store knife in, whatever, and carry that item wherever you go. This would be a minimal change that would open up new ways for dealing with combat encounters because you could always have a gun ready when you enter combat.
>They should loosen up a few quests so that you can distract enemies away from the door and sneak in. Give the player an XP bonus for doing this to offset the lack of XP from killing. This would make players feel like they had agency.
>Add a fast travel system so you don't have to do so much running around. Especially important for Fabien.
>Also, add a proper combat tutorial.
I really do like the game, but there's a series of bad design choices made here that I feel like they should have picked up on months ago and corrected. Some will require more effort to fix than others, but all would help.
