Ill admit, i mainly play for the shooting, and do not care about expensive ass skins. It would be nice if I could have a cheaper knife, since the amount is starting to get ridiculous even on the cheapest ones.
However, this new update pushed literally all the skins up, and knives and gloves down slightly. Now I cant even get a shitty Ice Coaled AK for cheap since even the blues are going up in price, with the yuge tradeup wave

Anything that depletes the current number of non-currently dropping cases is a net positive for me, so even right now with people panic selling fracture cases, eventually there's going to be a point where that case's price starts to increase simply because the supply is lessened. Case prices are already so ridiculously high that it depends on what you want to do and how long you want to wait. $2 from Dreams and Nightmares sounds ridiculous as a floor and those will not be out of the game for at least another year. They could just outright add terminal links going forward and that would make it so that all cases will eventually be rare. imo best thing to do is to sell as many current cases as you have right now and invest in series 1 weapon charms from the armory since I believe that those will have the same sort of rise that the weapon collection and case that was removed from the armory has (and to a more important one to one comparison, agent skins).

there is an option to trade up lower tier skins to higher tier skins. this used to only apply for skins on normal weapons up to the highest rarity. now they all the highest rarity weapon skins to be traded up into knife skins which were the rarest drop from opening a case. doing this increased the price of the highest tier of weapon skins and lowered the price of knives because now they can be acquired without the rng of opening a case.
