It won't improve their FPS at all, but it'll give the illusion of a better FPS for retards that don't understand why having a high FPS is a good thing.

I'm wondering if gamers, being the neurotypicals that they are, are simply assuming that when they say dlss people will understand that they are actually referring to frame generation and not upscaling. I know that Nvidia smooth motion does improve my experience in HD2 but I wish gamers would be specific if frame generation is in fact what they are talking about.
