Are there even any reasons to go back to the original versions of the old Resident Evil games? How different are they from the remakes?

Fixed camera is a pretty good stylistic choice for horror. And tank controls are probably the best way to implement a fixed camera. You're just retarded. Anyone with a functioning brain will get used to it within like a half hour.

Yes:
They are vastly superior in every conceivable manner. They also pack near infinite replay value

Completely different games.
In case of DEmake 2-4, also completely different GENRES.

REmake 1 is the only okay remake of the bunch, and still the blueprint for how to do them right. However, it too relies on the assumption that the player has already beaten the classic RE1-3, and thus changes things a lot to challenge and surprise the veteran fans.

The controls were never an issue, not even to little children, and the gameplay is vastly superior to the post-RE4 trash.

arguing that the REmakes replace the originals (especially 2, 3 and 4) is on the same level as saying RE7 replaces RE1
