I have discord buddies, too. I won't fully lose contact tho as I can just switch to the 5G on my phone to use the internet. I won't do that, though. I refuse to let myself be compelled to interact. The whole point is kinda being free of all that shit and just social shit in general

>Pay for a month of Internet
>Use that time to download as much shit as humanly possible
>Cancel Internet for the next few years
I feel like this is a massive life hack that most people are too afraid to try

>there was some fuckup and I was out of internet for two weeks
>finally had the time to read many books I saved along with listening to all the music I downloaded
It was comfy, and I have been reading more since then

I downloaded a bunch of japanese light novels in advance. I can only get myself to read for a couple hours a day MAX before I get the urge to go browse the interwebz. Hopefully these few months will push my nipponese to the next level desu

Factorio, Battle Brothers. Actually not really because you want to access the wiki for information.

Read some book while you learn how to camp in winter without setting the forest in fire, and perhaps you might also catch in the act all those fucking "environmentalists" that are setting forests on fire on purpose.

Download Minecraft and tens of different mods. Download VNs from Nyaa. Retroarch or Bizhawk and a bunch of games, like the AA series, Layton, Mario Kart, Crash Team Racing, etc.
Find out which of your steam games can be played offline.

The internet and social media is a mind eroding poison that obliterates your attention span and numbs your dopamine receptors

There are so many good games out there so I'll just pick 3 or 4 a category majority of which are on GOG or abandonware. Your mileage with many of these games will improve with mods. You might also want to check PC gaming wiki for potential patches and set everything up BEFORE you pull the plug.

Shooters
STALKER trilogy
DOOM and other boomer shooters, check out /vr/s thread for packs
Max Payne 1 and 2

Replayable indie slop
FTL
Binding of Isaac
Darkest Dungeon

RTS
Company of Heroes 1/2
Dawn of War 1/2
C&C Red Alert to Generals
Warcraft 3

Racan
Most NFS games up to Pro Street, they're all abandonware
Gran Turismo 4 (emulate)
Dirt Rally

Action
DMC 1-5
Yakuza games
Batman Arkham Trilogy
Emulate a classic MH FU, P3rd, 3U, or 4U

RPGs
Gothic 1 and 2
Divinity Orignal Sin 2
Neverwinter Nights provided you bring mods

Grab a bunch of emulators and a ton of old classics too.

Also peep this site, most recommendations from 98 and 10 are super solid and it tells you if a game needs a fix

Emulate. You have like a 1000 games made before online gaming was a thing you can play.

emulating a game I don't physically own is kinda unethical tho
