That'd be Fallout 2 actually, but New Vegas is impressive by the rock-bottom standards RPGs had hit by the late 2000s.
i don't know how people defend the visible thresholds in this game it's the most casual implementation of skll checks i've seen in any RPG. literally visual novel tier

I wonedr if they'll do another Fallout game soon.
Starfield was a huge flop, Elder Scrolls 6 has had no news since the announced it, but still, the fallout Amazon show was a big enough hit that they might rush out a new game.
