I work for a game company and they have a long term vision of "forever titles". What this means is not making "Game (classic)" -> "Game (remake)" any more but simply releasing "Game" as a "forever title" where you pay a yearly fee for the latest visual enhancements. The game they want to trial this with is part of a popular franchise but won't see a release until 2027
