I watched the stream on Twitch and holy hell, it’s boring as sin. I wanted to roll up skyscrapers, not go back to the Gold Rush and glue chunks of metal together. I figured I’d at least be able to roll the Parthenon or the Pyramids.

You do, of course the later missions have you rolling up big stuff like buildings or islands, but some earlier ones are smaller. I saw one where someone rolled up Himiji Castle or something in the feudal Japan level etc.
Does anyone know if they changed the music system from We Love Reroll? Having to change the track before launching a stage, and having no way to change track in stage, made the deluxe edition kind of worthless.

Not sure. If there's an issue one can patch it in I'm sure. I know that the deluxe version includes both huge amounts of costume pieces and a fuckload of old soundtrack songs, so they must have some way to handle it.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. If they crammed in that much legacy music, there’s gotta be either a shuffle option or stage-specific playlists this time. If it’s still locked to pre-selection like WLK Reroll I’m gonna scream into my Prince plushie.

We'll have to check. Surely they can improve it somewhat at least. Also, I'm a bit disappointed I can't find it for a significant discount but at least Fanatical has it for 15% off or so. Still I want to support it especially on PC, but maybe I should wait to pick it up on sale until after I finish We Love Katamari Royal Reverie+

I played it at NYCC a week or so back and got a pin, also got the high score on the machine I was on. Was pretty fun, I love Katamari and the ways the levels changed was more dynamic than in previous games (a pirate ship getting attacked by another pirate ship as you get bigger was the demo level). Music was too quiet in the demo to fully hear which made me sad. What I could hear sounded kinda like the Eizouken theme song.
