i work in industry and i can tell you it was Alan Wake 2 write off, it was that or closing the studio down
Alan Wake 2 lost so much money they had to offload a big chunk of its budget to another project, so they quickly made an asset flip of control and said it cost them 40mln$, when in reality it was made by few people, tested internally, had very bad reception, but they stil spend a full year to make 2 extra maps

Basically, this anon isn't hyped enough to buy a DLC he was supposedly excited about for a game he supposedly likes.
