Because the combat is better, which is all that matters. The "exploration" in NGB is utterly pointless and devoid of engagement.

NG2 is just more fun to pick up and play.
But NGB is something I play for an entire day.
Both are equally good, just different games for different mindsets.

Yeah, the challenge and gameplay style is just better. I still like 3RE and 4 as games but they're not peak NG like Black and 2
