>I went to a casino the first time a few years ago and I didn't like how everything was purely electronic
everything has been purely electronic since before you were born. the lever does not cause a mechanical force to be applied to the wheels. it just tells the machine to spin the drums according to its programming, same as pressing the button. they behave exactly the same way regardless of whether you used the lever or the button. they just kept the lever for decades because of the feel-fetish. like how a hitbox is just a 10% keyboard but tries to preserve the feel of an arcade panel.
>At least with old slot machines they'd eventually pay out, with this intelligent system they have now they probably make sure newfags don't win shit.
no, that would be dumb as shit. what makes slots addicting is the fact that you win often enough to make you feel like it's fair. on average a slot should be paying out at least half of what it takes in, and this convinces the gambler to reinvest the half they got back until they lose everything, and then walk away feeling fine.
>It made me feel disillusioned and that some artificial computer algorithm was just going to keep me from winning so I only played twenty bucks
imagine typing this thinking you don't look like the biggest mark in the world. you felt negatively about the whole thing yet you still gave them $20. you need to stop and rethink your whole life because you clearly don't understand anything about what is going on around you.
