I don't have anti-ai fatique but I am tired of people kneejerk reacting at some art and insisting it's AI. Happened to guy I know who made an excellent art piece and posted it in Twitter and people started speculating if it's AI and overly analyzing it, pointing at inconsistencies and screeching at him ruining art etc. before he woke up and posted both IRL sketches and the layer files. Then the screechers just slithered away without even apologizing, and when I checked some of the profiles they were beginner artists themselves.
OP's pic is an obvious AI shit tho so it should be called out and shat on. Slop is slop, and any self-respecting artist wouldn't fucking use fucking DALL-E 2 tier upscaling and even then would be completely upfront about it.
It's pity AI is mainly used on stuff humans can do and not on stuff that isn't feasible for humans to do manually, such as data processing. Zesty Jesus pointed out seismometer data being processed with AI which detects smallest patterns well. That is a good usecase.
But using it for art when you have fuckton of artists? Or writers? Or composers?
It's strange, like you can use some tools to streamline some processes but completely turning it into some generative promptslop is disgusting. It's for lazy people who hate working or putting effort to stuff. Like rather than exercising, you just eat some weight loss pills and keep slurping on soda and candy and fastfood.
This is coming from someone who gens AI slop, it's only good for low-effort pornfuel
