Besides the japanese gods and Mick Gordon, name a better composer than Christopher Larkin.
His organ piece for the Mist area and subsequent Phantom boss fight is sublime. How the crescendo is interwoven with your progress in the Mist puzzle is something I haven't experienced in a while.

Not so, Hollow Knight is sadly about bugs. Whereas the Witcher 3 served as a trojan horse to inject slavic culture across the world and give Poland their first inkling of soft power since the days of the HRE, Hollow Knight does nothing to connect itself with its country of origin other than having an abundance of disgusting creatures that crawl and bite and sting. Not even the most dogged HRT superfan will travel to Adelaide in order to "enter Hallownest" for a few days, yet plentiful Witcher 3 fans travel to Gdanks and close their eyes tight while plapping their tremendously fat fiance, pretending she is Yennefer.

Classical music is both a period and a "genre" of music rooted in Art Music.
Orchestral is the instrumentation used to form it. It's an ensemble of people, not a genre. The vast majority of orchestral soundtracks in a vidya and movie context aren't rooted in the same theories or structures that classical music generally is.
These are both orchestral music, however they are not the same genre.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUjkBRKg2q0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjQ_DPtdUOg
Calling orchestral a genre or equating all orchestral music with Classical music would be like calling "band" a genre of music and grouping a jazz group and rock group under the same umbrella.

That being said, there are orchestral vidya soundtracks that kind of push into "neo-classical" territory but they're still held back by the fact that they're still at their core structured like "popular music" has been structured from the 1930s-present. (built from sections that repeat and contrast for audience impact, rather than continuous motivic development and long-range harmonic planning that actual Classical music is known for)
