When I fought Elizebet in OG NG2 on PotMN, I was one combo away from killing her after having beaten Genshin, and she grabbed me and Ryu got stuck levitating in the air, unable to die, which resulted in having to replay both boss fights. It then happened again before I beat her.

People who are saying this game isn't MGR + Bayonetta are just outright lying. It's incredibly artificial and the enemies have forced interaction in the exact same way as every other Platinum game. I'm not playing it enough to get to Ryu, he is probably better but dear god, Yakumo's gameplay is the death of Itagaki's vision.

NG Black and 2 are about simple to control and simple to play main characters with ruthless and fairly intelligent enemies. Yakumo is harder to play than Ryu in Black and 2. Like objectively yeah Yakumo has all the Platinum games' tech and an active weapon switch. Sure that is more "depth" than Black and 2. But those games weren't about "depth" they were about fast and punishing action, not pressing the Platinum games buttons at the time Platinum games wants you to press the Platinum games buttons while enemies throw out mindless attacks for you to perfect dodge or parry.

You can not look at something like DDO Commander and then any Genshin fight from 2 and tell me they are the same design philosophy. You can't tell me Ninja Gaiden needed red light green light traversal sequences.

The game is objectively disappointing and /v/ will repeat everything I've said after The Electric Underground or some other random eceleb says the exact same stuff.

I don't care if I get called a NG2 schizo or anything. This is my first post on here in a long time and I'm only writing this to tell people not to play NG4 if they want Ninja Gaiden.

I agree. the visuals are also overstimulating and unnecessarily busy. NG4 lacks the clarity that played into the gameplay design in especially 2 where you want to see when dismemberment happens amid the chaos so you can do obliterations. I never had any problem with this in 2 but in 4 there is so much visual vomit and telegraphs going out at once, competiting for attention
