Is gamer culture a toxic influence on young men
Hey /v/. I've only every come here to occasionally make threads about Command and Conquer, Metroid and Fallout. I was just scrolling through the board and I realized that a lot of you guys have extremely childish views and seem to blindly hate women and minorities and let it infuse everything that you post with reactionary hatred. I've also noticed that a third of the posts here are incredibly embarrassing horny posting and weeb/moeshit.
Now you can call me a normie all you want but I am an oldfag and I remember thinking how ridiculous it was growing up in the late 90s having retarded politicians and soccer moms say that videogames would turn an entire generation into violent maladjusted social outcasts and losers. I always feared that I'd become a person like that, which is probably why I eventually touched grass and have prospects in life, a well paying job, and actually get pussy occasionally and have hobbies outside of videogames. I don't think that the same stigma exists around casually playing videogames that there used to be in the 90s, which is a good thing because now I can enjoy vidya with my GF and her friends and not get judged as a weirdo. On the other hand, I'm starting to think they were right about people who self-identify as "gamers", in that they are complete losers, degenerates, and profligates. What do you think?
