You should revisit Dark Souls 1 if you can. If you have played Elden Ring, it feels like turnbased. It wont take long for you to get adjusted to the game's speed. Elden ring sucks to be honest

I have occasional stutter but my PC is significantly below recommended specs, from what i hear it runs very well now if you select the prerelease version of the emulator in the launcher and have a decent PC.

i have only played bloodborne and elden ring for souls games, but yes elden ring is ten times harder. i platinumed bloodborne and beat the base game of ER but SOTE was yet another step up in difficulty and it's close to my skill limit - the webms of people fighting radahn were very discouraging as i simply don't think i'm good enough to beat him. all that said, i prefer bloodborne and consider it the better, tighter game with superior combat. the rally system is such an ingenius little mechanic that not only adds an interesting dimension to every fight (attack/gain health vs dodge/protect health), it fits the lore so well that it essentially goads you into acting like a blood-drunk hunter, mad for death and carnage. plus, look at the fucking drip on this

Yeah I prefer BB and DS3 to ER too.
They're much easier but at 28 years old i just don't really care about that anymore, I just wanna have fun and both of those games are far more enjoyable.
First ER playthrough exploring the world blind was a blast tho.

I "blame" the 60fps on emulators.
30 was borderline unplayable to me and I'm baffled that people genuinely put up with that shit AND the framedrops.
60 meanwhile made the game, animations, etc. smooth and predictable to the point where it often became flat out boring.

Bloodborne was built with the same design philosophy as DS1. It's only marginally faster.
ER is when the series completely jumped the shark and turned into something the antiquated combat system flat out cannot support.

yeah that's typical for all souls bosses but i guess what i'm saying is that radahn is gonna take me much longer to learn than any other boss and i don't think i have the patience to stick with it.

Reminder Bloodborne has the best story, atmosphere and weapons but the absolute shittiest bosses fromsoft has ever made. There is like maybe 3 actual good bosses including dlc.

I disagree, a lot of BB bosses are unremarkable but serviceable.
It's DS2 where the majority of bosses is truly abysmal dogshit and even its "good" bosses are like 6/10 fights tops.
I say this as someone who actually somewhat likes DS2 as well.

I personally consider sekiro to be the only (recent) fromsoft game that has an actual story. All their other works only have background lore, but no real actively unfolding narrative, which is what I think constitutes a proper "story".

Perhaps I jumped the gun here. I enjoyed most of 1s bosses but yeah I forgot how bad 2s were. Though 2 was mostly just bad from being push overs with no real strategy. The final boss in 2 was a 3 fight back to back rush that I first tried all 3 fights. Aldia himself being a joke.

For Bloodborne I mostly just thought they were all obnoxious and not very fun to actually fight.

get the max holy resistence talisman
get a lot of hp and stamina
shield up, poke
all you need to learn is when to breathe, but with enough health and defense you can probably take a few hits anyway
took me days to beat him the hard way the first time
on my second run I just tried this as an experiment and I beat him on the first try
kind of ridiculous how easy it was
