Stellar Blade is actually an underrated action game though. It’s ironically hurt by the ass, it’s been utterly reductive to discussion of the game but the core combat mechanics are actually really good in Stellar Blade (though the insistence on color coding attacks so hyper specifically is obnoxious). DMC difficulty achievements don't stack, some people beat the game on easy and others on normal on their first playthrough. The mission 18 completion achievement is at 36%, and the two missions after that are a single fight so I don't imagine the completion for the entire game dropped much lower than that. I personally don't thunk it's an issue. Ninja Gaiden itself has several games that take a while to 100% and fully master. NG4's DLC will add new weapons for Ryu, more story content and new postgame content that isn't just trials. Sounds like NG4 will be getting the nu-Team Ninja treatment in which the DLC will be a pretty meaty expansion. When all is said and done, NG4 is going to be a pretty hefty game with more content than the likes of DMC5 or Bayo 3.

Even if we don't get anymore games like NG and DMC, I feel like the genre has had a good run. In due time, people will discover these games and enjoy them in the long run. Personally, I keep finding obscure arcade and PS2 action games and that's been keeping me off of having to play the Chinese rollsloppas that have awful performance, so I don't even care. I got more than enough games to last a lifetime.

Sekiro is action-adventure. Sekiro and NGB are really the only games I could think of that have a lot in terms of exploration while also having some really satisfying combat.

What is there to explain? They're more popular games. They also probably have several times more players on game pass than Ninja Gaiden 4.
