Imagine a three way battle between hostile natives infected by metroids and futuristic bug grunt enemies. I think the Kriken are likely future antagonists. There was an interview with a former Prime Hunters dev who said that they're such a threat that even the Feds and Pirates would be willing to cooperate just to get rid of them

No matter how much Tanabe tries, nobody will every care about Sylux.

I like sylux as an antagonist specifically because he's not some cosmic horror like dark samus or the SA-X.
Compared to samus, he is the underdog. He's strictly working on inferior technology. I think that allows for some very interesting ideas with the story.
