if you don't use AI for your game you're going to be left behind. nu-zooms are going to be prompting unreal 8 with shit like "make me a fotm roguelike with ps1 graphics" and by the time you're done writing the first line of code, they'll already have an early access adoption rate in the thousands. how do you cope?

By making something I want to make and knowing I made it instead of relying on an approximation of what I want.
If you want to make vidya because of adoption and recognition instead of making something fun for yourself, you lack love of video games as video games.

do you want to fail by being trapped in development hell not improving? because that's the only outcome of such naive thinking. you lack the professionalism needed to release a finished product.

Fucking this lol. It's surreal seeing people think about the future of video games powered by AI, worried about the money they won't make on it. The whole point is that we'll have way more games to have fun with and we'll be able to, as individuals, make our dream games.
>BUT MONEY
>BUT RECOGNITION
These aren't artists they're just greedy leeches.

It's a hobby to me, if it gets made, cool, if not, no huge loss to me. I at least know I didn't compromise on what I want to make for the sake of getting sales and shit.
>trapped in development hell not improving?
That's a different issue entirely. Just by doing something and showing it others over time, I get feedback that I can use for future development.
