YouTube, TikTok, Netflix, etc. You hear constantly about people "binge-watching" shit and wasting entire days (nearly every day) on just TikTok. Outside of maybe Roblox, you're not getting close to that with video games. You probably spend more time shitposting on /v/ about video games than actually playing them. Back when we were younger, we didn't have Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube in its current form, Netflix and Hulu in their current form, streaming services that remove the need for cable TV, smartphones or any of that. Nintendo/SEGA/Xbox/PlayStation basically WAS that for us for the most part. It's why you only see people in their 40s and shit still hanging on to console war stuff while younger people don't care.

Helldivers 2 currently has 30,000 players on Steam. Helldivers 2 in-game's menu currently says there are 31,000 players across all platforms online at the moment.

Free-to-play games are clearly dominating consoles in every single capacity. To argue otherwise is to willingly lie, because nobody can really, truly believe otherwise.

All forms of entertainment are competitive with each other. You will not shrivel up and die if you don't watch a specific movie or play a specific game. Anything you are doing to pass the time is taking the time and possibly money that you could have been doing for another form of entertainment. Entertainment comes in millions of forms. If you go down to the massage parlor and slip the little thai woman a $20 to give you a happy ending, that's competitive entertainment. If 100% of video game transactions were forcibly halted for 1 month, other than being a big news story, and outside of fringe psychos going outside and doing something stupid, nothing would truly change.

When people defend gay retarded games/devs by saying you're gonna play it anyway, what they're saying is one of two things:
