Linux Gaming
Have you switched over yet anon?
Why not???
You're not a cuck like the Janny are you?

Switched... what was it, 2021? My GPU's fan broke so minecraft would crash my computer during overheating when it rained. So I went to debian and never looked back (I was on W7 before then).

Played skyrim, morrowind, recettear... never minecraft again funny enough lol. I think I did some civilization too.

All my gaming these days is on my PS3, PS4, or NDS lite. Or Vita.

I literally just got bit by a fucking issue with VAC servers. I can't go on VAC servers after I made some changes to my config so my capture card wouldn't disconnect every five minutes.

Gaming on Linux is possible, but it's still rough around the edges.

How is it? I had trouble accidentally running on the test version so now I'm staying on 12 for like two more years to let things settle.

I switched back to windows after certain software just wouldn’t run on Linux.
Not sure how good winboat is but I want to go back to linux I just can’t because there’s too much windows/Mac only software that I rely on.
And the free and open source software isn’t good.

Still I like how steam supports linux a lot I just use gog quite a bit so that created its own issues due to not supporting linux as much as steam is.

It's good I just installed it. I came from Arch so things are a bit different but everything works well. I'm wondering how it is for you being on 12 after so long, and how it'd be for me by the time of 14. Do you run into any issues?

I think I was 10 or 11 at first, then I was on vacation for a couple years, came back 11 was bugging out so I reinstalled to 12, fucked something up, wound up on test distro, and had to reinstall again.

I like 12 because it's stable now and shit isn't fucking breaking all the time. That said I'm having minor issues with the GUI (KDE, X, wayland, whatever the fuck I don't really understand it). The GUI fucks up irrecoverably roughly once a month forcing a restart which is annoying but I just make sure everything is saved at all times now.

I mean just being honest my computer is mainly a 24/7 fileserver and 4chan machine 12 hours a day. Gaming is very rare on PC for me now since I'm working through my 20 year old console game backlog. Last game I "beat" was Pokemon Emerald, but only the E4 so now I'm catching them all.

I was under the impression Debian didn't break so much. Anyway it seems stable, haven't had much time but umu and ProtonGE work so everything that worked on Arch should work here. I've got it on a separate drive but I'm seriously considering switching.
