I always wondered, why is there basically no description of the good afterlife in Christianity? Even Islam has pretty comprehensive definition of a reward that awaits a believer after a pious life. But for Christianity there's nothing, just "it will be good trust me".
Then I came to realization, that Christianity is a cult of death in a pretty narrow sense. Basically every single pleasurable thing in life is considered a vice, or a necessary evil for which you should feel guilty beg Death God's forgiveness. As a result, its cosmology is completely bankrupt about positive rewards to offer for following a religion. This is why they are so focused on punisments for not following it.
