Xbox 360 and PS3 both came with these cables, at least early in their lifespan. Getting component cables was a separate purchase but the PS3 had an HDMI port from the start.

By that logic the SNES came with component and the Dreamcast came with VGA. Just because something had the capability of outputting that signal doesn't mean that it was the standard way of doing it, or that the console came with the cable to do it.

Yes it did. It used the same video cable as the N64 and Gamecube, both of which supported component. It was just RGB component as opposed to that other kind I always forget the acronym for.

I think it's like $80 but people have managed to reverse engineer it and make an HDMI adapter using the Gamecube's digital out port. There's also a version that includes component output too.
