Visuals look nice, but it's definitely going to be super baby game easy. The series peaked with Yoshi's Island and they've been chasing that success for decades.

Yoshi’s Island was designed as an actual platformer with an interesting gimmick. For some reason they thought the gimmick and cute mascot character were the only things people liked about YI so they made them gimmick games for babies afterwards. Wooly World is probably the best Yoshi game after YI and even then it’s just alright.

Yoshi Island is technically speaking the last 2D game even where Nintendo brought their A team to foccus on, after Mario 64 every other 2D project became frivolous. Everyone likes new Super Mario Bros, but you would be insane to call it a triple A project
2D Kirby is made by Hall, 2D DK was given to Retro Studios, 2D metroid to MercurySteam, Yoshi orbitates between C teams and cheap third party contracted devs
