Japanese society is very different than what is shown on anime and JRPG. The average japanese is fake and cold as fuck so if you're thinking about going to live there and befriend everyone they will think that you're a creep and talk shit behind your back while being respectful to you in your face. Japan is good for tourism and sexual tourism if you know what you're doing, other than that just stay in your home country or go somewhere else.

I love Japan and read and watched videos about it constantly, I watch its TV, I watch Iron Chef on repeat because Sakai is the MAN, but I have never visited there and probably never will. I am in love with the Japan from the year 2000 I invented in my head, not the real one.
I do realize this, of course. If I ever went I would probably like a lot about it still but it would be a real Paris Syndrome moment. Also, I love my home town more than Japan so moving is just out of the question, ever.
