I actually like the physicality on the clouds. If they didn't just abruptly stop but instead continued for a bit longer curving upwards slightly it could be a pretty cool effect for selling the scale of the ring.
As the ring part feels pretty disconnected.

That doesn't mean they aren't a visual effect that (if anyone working on this cared) they could alter and implement in specific ways.
