OP idk if Ur actually reading any of this or you've already beaten him but

LOCK OFF, it's that simple, target the head, but do not lock on manually aim your attacks

Anyways hope this helped, I love midir still the best dragon boss in any of fromsoft games

Midir is designed to be the opposite of most dragon fights in Dark Souls. Staying in front of him and targeting his head works best.

If you're struggling against Midir wait until you meet the gay couple at the end of the DLC. The combos are so long and broken that I said fuck it and shamelessly cheesed them with the Blasphemous blade and mimic tear.

i launched ds3 and played through ringed city fresh to get to midir, put down a sign for op and now I just keep getting summoned to be the church boss lol

Ive beaten it with my trusty longsword on my 3rd time and im really bad at these games. Playing nioh for the first time and boss under the boat deck absolutely ravaged me like 20 times

fuck me assisting is harder than the boss just because if your host flags the wrong starting attack, midir one shots you as you're landing

while you can do soulsgames at pretty much any level (there are sl1 runs for a reason), ringed city is recomended to be at around 90. I know I was at around 100-110 when I fought midir and beat him without using a cheese strat. Wasn't even trying to farm or anything, just exploring and killing stuff bring you there easily enough.

Use Pestilent Mist. It eats a percentage of his health and his fat ass is always touching it
