Alright, faggots. Let's talk video game remakes/remasters. Which ones do you like? which ones do you hate? which ones do you think are sidegrades? Here's a few I like:

Epic Mickey Rebrushed
Croc
Wild Guns Reloaded
Quake
BloodRayne(Not big on the game itself but it's a solid, if basic, remaster)

I like the System Shock and Spyro remakes.
>Wild Guns Reloaded
Honestly any remake by NatsumeAtari (Pocky & Rocky, Shadow of the Ninja) is really good.

what was cool about Pocky and Rocky was that it was a secret sequel instead of a traditional remake. great game, will get shadow of the ninja at some point.

I liked the tomb raider remakes, at least for 1-3. I haven't play the 4-6 remake yet.

Is Croc actually good? I only ever had the demo disk, but I played it a ton.

its a solid game. level design is very "platformer game youid see in a movie" but thats actually quite charming. the remaster also has optional dual analog controls if you dont wanna deal with the tank controls. but the game is very much designed around the tank controls.

Yes. Pure childhood nostalgia game that actually holds up.

I played a little bit of it on my saturn and I quite liked it, didn't go past the first boss though as I was only trying it out. VERY cramped-feeling though. But as long as you take it slow it's very fun.

later levels do get a bit more open FEELING but game itself is still very point A to point B. those castle levels are fucking brutal lmao

I'm not playing a failed Yoshi game

I like remakes that give me the chance to play a game I can't play easily otherwise

Croc's great, ignore subhuman Croc 2 likers

The Croc remaster is too big. 20GB for a game from 30 years ago? Come on now.

>remakes/remasters
The fact that people lump these two things together so often shows just how borked the definition of "remaster" is in vidya

All SaGa remasters/remakes are better than the originals

I don't mean this as an actual defense of tank controls but it is the best feeling implementation of them in a platformer in my opinion. Even compared to Tomb Raider.

Still, it's tank controls. If you can stomach that though, it's a nice, easy (with some bullshit) platformer with damn good music.

I feel like it's a good game but I never really got far into playing it whatever that means
