Combat is messy but its considerably better if you play it like a stealth game and consider each encounter a puzzle to solve rather than a straight up fight. Boss fights are a clusterfuck but they're not bad, use your elixirs, they load you up when you're on the way to one.
Its not the sequel anyone would have wanted, but in a vaccuum its FINE, albeit not worth 60 bucks, thats for damn sure. Give it a pirate.
