Thread died before I could reply, this is how I'm running her for Leo, don't even bother with Shadow since it procs too late. You don't absolutely need two recovery skills but it can be helpful, I'm sort of running on the edge of acceptable stamina. The skills here are meant to get into a decent position in the mid-race to hit Iron and Red Shift. Still fundamentally a build that relies a lot on gambling, but can win sometimes. Nemesis procs even in higher placements like 6th so the idea is to move up before the final leg of the race, and try to create a chain reaction with her ult, Iron and Red Shift.

I barely if ever could get 20% failure rate training to go off, it feels like 80% failure rate if anything.

Depends on the level of Spark

If I remember correctly it's like 3, 6, 9% for 1, 2, 3* spark respectively for whites if it's on the direct parent. If it's a grandparent, you take that and halve it.

So if you have 4 groundwork sparks, let's just assume you have two 2* groundworks on your parents. That's 6% each, giving you a 12% chance per inspiration. What you want is 3* groundwork sparks, and a decent amount on both parents, somewhere between 7-9* groundwork sparks on each. I usually have about 14* groundwork sparks giving me like a 30%+ chance or thereabout per inspiration to get groundwork, and over two inspirations that's a pretty good chance to get it consistently.

There's a reason those in the know were preparing groundwork grandparents months ahead before Seiun even launched. The groundwork grind is a long-term thing, but if you wanna run a front at any point, you ought to be doing it. Just start with getting a 3* groundwork spark and use that as a grandparent, even if the blue spark isn't what you want necessarily. Eventually grandparents can be phased out easily if your parent winds up good. But yeah there's a reason people talk about the torturous Seiun Sky breeding and why those borrows are so damn valuable in the first place. It's like the most high value parent in the game

I only have ONE decent groundwork parent, that I made with ONE kinda shit 3* groundwork grandparent. The groundwork parent I made has a borrowed groundwork spark, so that covers one grandparent. So I've got like one 8* groundwork parent right? And then you just find a Seiun you want and borrow one with like 7-8* groundwork sparks. Borrows do half of the work for you.

So if you wanna make it easy, just start grinding and when you find that 3* groundwork and one that seems like it might be a good grandparent, then work on making your one good parent. It's gonna use up your borrows but something to do when not training for a CM.

Fan runs have way less pressure to them if you mess up or have bad luck AND they benefit your club. Just way less stressful and you get a noticeable benefit. A failed ace run usually just leaves with glue and maybe a half decent parent if you’re lucky. Fan runs can also give you decent parents too though if you get your stats right

Id say go for the ones with stamina/power blue sparks and start from there.
Let’s say you use those grandparents and wind up with a 3* groundwork spark on the parent with more ideal blue sparks or whatever. Well you can use THAT new parent as a grandparent for a new-new parent, thus phasing out your old, less ideal grandparents. This incremental optimization will eventually leave you with a really strong groundwork parent or at least some different options. You can take it as far as you wanna take it. It might be easier or harder than you think depending on your luck and patience. Some make groundwork parents for all the different distances. You dont need to go that far. But it’s something you can always optimize over time if you desire.

And the bonus to making a decent seiun parent with groundwork sparks? put it on your profile and you will get a fuck ton of borrows from random people because everyone is thirsty for groundwork seiuns, and that’s free club points. Up to you. Try it and see how it goes. I wish I had a Seiun myself but I can see how the grind would be trying, especially with borrows being limited to 3 perday

Already youve got 5* groundwork sparks and 5* good blue sparks and your parent isnt even bred yet! Now you keep breeding those two until the parent winds up with say, 2* stam, 2* groundwork and voila, you’ve got a 7* groundwork/stam/power parent. Not bad. Now I left out pink sparks but you’ll want to avoid polluting them with pinks like late surger or pace chaser obviously, so stay away from those. Try and keep it to one distance + turf for pinks.

MOST good Seiun borrows arent 9* power/9* groundwork with perfect pink sparks because that is so hard to make and the follow slots will get filled out quick. A lot of good seiuns arent perfect, like a mixture of 7-8* decent set of sparks, and people will still want to borrow that.
