For me Serious Sam is the most consistent in quality, only vanilla BFE being a real stinker.
Wolf has a streak of games I enjoy a lot from RtCW to Old Blood that are distinct, but not wildly different, but I couldn't care less about the rest.
Doom has the most significant games, but I only really like 1 and, begrudgingly, Eternal.

I'd join SS4 to that list, frankly. Siberian Mayhem managed to step it up but somehow 4 just feels like they repeated a lot of BFE's issues but with an extra unfunny story on top and being a bit faster to get its bearings.

Not sure about any transcords. I do know that when a "lost" dev build surfaced it contained CSAM.
