It was INSANE how much they glazed the Redguards though (especially at the expense of the Bretons). I figure the modern Bethesda dev team is the same. At first I was just sad about TES 6 being many years away, but everything was fine as long as I could play modded Skyrim and FO4 in peace. Then they had to utterly destroy the modding scene by releasing special and anniversary editions on top of luring modders to their own hosting platform. It will without a doubt have some sort of base building mechanic. Bethesda originally wanted this for Skyrim but it was cut.

There are rumors there will be a sailing section with islands that are similar to star fields planets, but that the game will also have a mainland like skyrim.

There are rumors that the combat is more physics based and feel very reactive and satisfying.

Even if the game is at the same level as skyrim or worse it will no doubt become better overall with mods. Overall i dont think skyrim fans are right to be doom posting. Oblivion/skyrim were made at a time bethesda was trying to be game design reductionists for the sake of streamlining development at the expense of player experience and they have been getting hammered for every game they make over it and seem to be relenting in some areas. Even the jump of exploration quality from oblivion to skyrim is massive. I think bethesda has been testing what sort of bullshit they can get away with and have a better idea for how to proceed with "skyrim 2"

I don't know. The "sub 80 IQ skyrim fans" are pretty vocal about what they want. Basically anything Bethesda does now gets met with waves of complaints and shit flinging. I'm not saying all are the Skyrim fans since there is no doubt it's also people who just exist to shit on anything Bethesda does, but the Skyrim fans are a huge part of the community even now and they aren't quiet about what they want. Bethesda takes feedback to heart and they'll mold TES VI accordingly, and from what I can gather, they're going to make Skyrim 2 and make it even more like GTA in a fantasy setting. The Starfield fans have basically said "fuck it" are hang out among themselves somewhere, the people into Fallout are supposedly upset about Fallout Day, and TES fans are now essentially synonymous with Skyrim fans anyway. Since Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind fans aren't as high in number. A while back a guy with a picture of his Bethesda Elderscrolls employee necklace thing said it's gonna mainly take place in Hammerfell and High Rock. High Rock being very medieval looking. High Rock is the last bastion of the empire, whilst Hammerfell is resisting the Thalmor. He said the Thalmor took over everything except those two areas. There's gonna be randomly generated islands with shipbuilding and some kind of sword master skill thing instead of dragon shouts.

Most important detail was that 2027 was just a placeholder release date, it's likely gonna be around 2029 it'll come out.

Skyrim actually had surprisingly low-poly models and poorly optimized textures; so maybe without particle effects it should have been less resource intensive than Oblivion but it ran harder due to lack of polish.
So at minimum I would want a game that's higher definition than Skyrim, but not by much.
I think what Skyrim graphically lacks most is better draw distance and LOD: the entire vibe of the game would be different, and better, if you could actually see these huge vistas and mountains.
