i have 5 and bricked all of 'em. was a long time ago, i dont know what happened. i enjoyed playing the metal gear games like portable ops, piss walker and acid. patapon was really cool too, i loved 3 as well.

I used mine up until the Go was released and by that point I had an Ipod touch.

I still ended up buying a Go since playing games on an Ipod felt like I was trying to control a rubber duck in a bathtub using only the water and half the screen on my PSP 1000 died randomly so I needed a new one anyway.

The God of War games on this were really good. Crisis Core FF7 as well. And for as much hate as it got I played the hell out of 3rd Birthday.

Ridge Racer as well. Amazing. Kinda felt like the console was just built entirely around this game how well it fit. It's funny the PSX version of Ridge Racer from the iconic e3 2006 was never actually officially released for this console, only Type 4. Of course, you can drop any PSX iso in once modded.

But honestly, broadly speaking, aside from those. I didn't enjoy most games on here.

Thankfully none of the parents were within eyesight and everybody who saw it laughed it off and knew what was up but I panicked so fucking hard at first

shame that public wifi hotspots were sparse back then and that you had to pay an extra hundred dollars for a memory stick pro duo to make those features actually useable instead of just having one song and a 5 minute anime opening in 72p

I have this vivid memory back in 2008 or so, of someone watching a movie on their PSP, on the bus. And I was amazed at how that was even possible. That was actually unthinkable as a kid, that such a device could even exist.

I've actually used my own PSP quite a lot recently. Replayed Monster Hunter freedom unite (finally got to G-rank), SSX on tour and Final fantasy tactics. It's qutie a good console to this day.

Held back by its lack of 2nd analog stick and only 2 shoulder buttons. Could have been dominant with those tweaks.
