My mother played Tetris occasionally decades ago and was hooked to that Pinball game that came with Windows 95 for a while. She has not played any vidya in ages by now.
My father played a lot of racing games on our PS2, and even got the steering wheel and pedal controller for it. The PS2 broke eventually, and after that he has never shown any interest in any gaming again.
