I hated the ending of The Beast so much I replayed dl1 and I think I liked 1 more. Currently playing Dead Island 2 and liking it way more than I expected, the writhing is garbage, but the gameplay is alright.

It's a shame that by the time you get to the part where the game spawns in special zombies that aren't just Goons, Demolishers and Banshees you're basically at the end of the game. Like what's the point in ranking up all the regions to 11 right at the end of the game and you likely already did everything else?

This quest was by far the single hardest thing I did in the game in my 100% brutal run. Probably way easier in day, but I wasnt thinking and started it late not realizing what kind of quest it would be.

Yeah but still, making the whole world a wasteland limits the scenarios the games can be set in.

I played through DL1 recently and I really enjoyed it until old town. It started to become apparent that all the missions were just gonna continue to be indoors and it got really old. It irritated me that, for a game about parkouring around zombies, they have to restrict you to tight corridors for the vast majority of the missions in the game.
