If he's so smart why doesn't he just make a new pulse?

I like the game so far but I can already see after the honeymoon it's going to be a bit of wasted potential and the cracks are starting to show. Pacing is going blitz speed fast. gameplay also actually kinda sucks.

It's actually going slow. Just because a lot of B Plots are happening, doesn't mean A Plots are resolving.

I like the show so I'll give it the benefit of doubt that it can solve most of it's A Plots, but Episode 2 - 4 were B Plot heavy, and we're probably not going to focus on the Z Team much at all until the very end. If this was a show with 10 episodes or they could cut out the gameplay fluff, 9 episodes could've worked better.

The "we will cut someone" warning was already made before Robert joined. The team had clearly been together for weeks if not months judging by the fact that they hang out after work and get angry enough to be spiteful if one gets fired.
A couple good days does not make up for a month of shittery and if they fail to make good on the promise of "do shit and you're fired" then it becomes it's own massive issue.

They weren't showing results in any meaning of the word. They were still literally below the bare minimum. Did you see the rankings ? Every single member was atleast 200 points below the first actual non z team hero, with most being over 200 points below.

Except it wasn't just them randomly having a good day trying to avoid getting fired, it was them getting a new management team and finally showing some buy-in. If you look at the points, Coupe and Sonar nearly doubled their scores in a single good day, and if you aren't looking at it from that perspective, you have BB commenting on how the team is finally starting to bond and Robert telling her that everyone deserves a chance. Having her back down on the threat this time, but leaving it looming over everyone's head, would have been such a smarter move instead of sending out one of the two to go back to being a Supervillain and is such cheap and out of place drama, especially since BB does have a soft spot as shown by how she handles Robert and then even says she wouldn't have let you cut Invisigal.

Because it was a joint project. As Royd said, you need the scientific and mechanical backgrounds to make something like the Astral Pulse. Robert's dad was the mechanical genius and obviously Shroud is the scientist.
