People say that playing Malkavian is a terrible idea for first run but that's blatantly false, if you are willing to put in bare minimum to understand your own words as well as the things you don't say it's a extremely enjoyable experience of playing as actual mad seer that has a pretty good but not perfect accuracy, there's nothing quite like that anywhere else out there and it's unlikely to ever happen again

i agree, i played malk first and enjoyed it, then i played tremere and had a more normal playthrough and i think its fun to do it this way. the normal playthrough clears some things up

I'm pretty sure that people that complain against Malk as a 1st playthrough are autists that look at it afterwards: in a blind playthrough (as I did back in the day) you can't say if what your char says is foresight or gibberish, although that's my experience, as it was my first time with anything WoD related.

Yeah you literally don't know shit about shit in a first playthrough.
Hence, the effect on the language is dizzying and exciting, without spoiling the story too much.
I'd argue Malkavian only really fits as a first playthrough. You see a kaleidoscope- you can see a tiny sliver of ~the truth~ but have no context to actually understand what you see.

Pretty much. I played Malk blind and didn't feel like I was missing much, but people want you to think 99% of Malk dialogue is foreshadowing that you're going to miss.
The funny thing is I bet most of them think the tuna joke is just lolsorandom instead of something with meaning too that they wouldn't even understand when replaying.
