I highly doubt Valve has have any new tech to show off. They've been lagging behind the industry since forever. They think they can compete with the juggernauts on technical ability and come up with the next gen experience people were expecting 18 years ago? No two handed weapons, just 3 one handed guns that all play the same

It lasted way longer than I thought it would, that pile was done over the course of a playthrough, 10 or so ingots at a time every time I got back to the fort.
It did happen though, I think shortly after that webm, it was a sad day when I got back and found them all on the ground.
Still it was a 40 hours or so playthrough and I came back to that fort a lot. The only thing is I think I dropped them all on the ground first then saved and reloaded before interacting with them, that may have helped prevent the issue.

i played shitloads of medal of honor games before playing hl and i found hl's level designs (what people usually praise) not very fun
probably because it was already dated by the time i played it (in early 00s)

For a long time the devs have been racking their heads around how to make Borealis level fun. I'd say just have Borealis be a gameplay hub with it teleporting across new places Gordon will go to.

The last thing I want out of that is them revisiting big moments from HL1/HL2 again like some lame ass best-of compilation. I'd be fine if they're doing it Titanfall 2 style though.
