I only bring up Souls because you have to manually aim your attacks (unless you're locked on, which is actively bad in most situations). In DMC3 you can be facing a wall with enemies approaching from behind you, hit attack, and Dante will automatically snap with perfect tracking to hit the closest enemy, which feels fucking awful. It feels like you're just supposed to throw yourself into the middle of crowds and input your combo strings and the game will just manage all the positioning for you. I dont' see how "rotate to target" isn't any worse than "suck to target".
