I think it should've been just cheap expansion pack to the first game

I got it for free in that Christmas promotion a decade ago. Can't get much cheaper than that.
Had a great time playing each campaign once.
I'm kind of amazed how memorable the game is.

>Hospital
>The riverside one where the back half is the return journey in the rain and any medkits you used on the way out are gone
>The crossover bridge up/down pair of stages
>The Mall
>The stage where the guy rings the church bell before succumbing to the infection
No idea which of the above are from 1 or 2, haven't played in ages, but including all of 1 in 2 (but with the new zombie types) was a nice touch.

I don't really know, I only played the second one. I think the first game's locations are still on the second game.

The Parish > Dark Carnival > Dead Center > Heavy Rain > The Swamp

I like the characters more in the first game but the second game is just the first game with more stuff so its better

always preferred the first. whenever i think about l4d or go back to play it, it's for the original campaigns/characters. i have no complaints about the second game though, it's just that the atmosphere/environments of the first are stronger.
