haven't played it but I don't like that art
there's something stinky about it I can't put my finger on it but it's off-putting

Pretty fun.
Plays well, but I think I might have liked some of the earlier versions more. Might be autism.

Nah some of the earlier versions were the shit. Final product is still good but there were some patches along the way that were my best memories of the game

Shooting feels tight but it just seems very bland to me. All the enemies are similar and boring, the upgrades and modifiers barely do anything, arenas feel like they just threw handfuls of bots in
I dont know it just doesnt make sense to me that is has ten thousand reviews and its overwhelmingly positive on steam
its just ok

It's pretty alright. Like basically all roguelite shooters it has problems but by and large the guns are fun and you can go fast

i almost exclusively played this game with a friend that now hates me and never wants to talk to me again
eventually i briefly returned just to get the last two or three achievements. after that, out of curiosity i checked my stats page as i hadnt ever clicked it before
>favorite brobot: <friend name>
just fuck my shit up

yeah this is my main complaint, the enemies are genuinely really stale and also annoying because their sound effects and indication for much of what they do is unexistent. Specially after getting addicted to a shooter game that encourages you jump straight to the fray and echolocate 10+ different enemies at the same time, its annoying playing roboquest where some no-sound-effect enemy can chunk you with slow moving noiseless projectiles. Or one of these bullshit mines. Or almost anything trying to make you slow down and chore through the level more. also agreed on the arena encounter design and shit

in a way i agree its incredibly overhated and i dont think its that good, but im still pretty glad for its success and review score. specially after i started making games it got clear that something like roboquest takes an absolutely fucktarded ammount of effort to make and i hope theyre paid well for it, and i honestly have faith in their next game being potentially much better

Its fun, surprisingly fun weapons. Pic related and the Shovel are my favorites.

Max looks cute in the cutscenes but her 3D model is a fucking goblin

Pretty good overall, though not without its problems. Combat is a lot of fun, but does get repetitive after a while. The levels just aren't varied enough and half of the arsenal is borderline useless. Some of the levels have a ton of verticality, but the combat just doesn't use it at all for some reason. I really liked the sense of progression though, no idea how they did it but it felt a lot smoother than almost any other roguelite I've played, which made the game as a whole very addictive. It really hooked me for a few days, but after I won a run for the first time I had basically no desire to pick it up again, which is never a good sign for a game like this.

Its good if its something specifically made for the genre that would not work otherwise
but most games are roguelites so they can make do with very few hours of area content instead of spending the (admitedly gigantic) investment required towards a fleshed out campaign
