That was stupid Nintendo ever stopped making these.

Terrible form factor. DPad never feels good to use in games that want to use it.
Every previous Nintendo handheld was better.

This was the golden age of NEET gaming for me, rotting in my bed and playing all the dragon quest remakes, fire emblem, and SMT. I am a wagie now, I want to go back.

3D was and is a stupid expensive fucking gimmick that did NOTHING but bring the quality of the console down and the price up. Such a charming console that could play DS games ruined by its hardware.

It should've been 2DS from the get go.
It should've had high quality IPS high gamut colored screens from the beginning.
When they released the new nintendo 3DS line in 2014 it should've just been only new 2DS and had upgraded screens. Instead they just put a shitty cstick and the same garbage screens for the XL models

Also forgot to mention at this point, the vita OLED was out for years and was cheaper, faster and better than the 3DS with better games. The vita OLED was better and played PSP games.

Yet nintendo stuck to the shit 3D that no one used, they barely upped the power performance of the console and SOMEHOW still put in shit screens while upping the price, bravo nintendo. What an absolute greedy fucking scummy company. Nintendo was always evil and greedy. Such a shame because the 3DS has a lot of good games and the best way to play them is with a mini hdmi mod now

That doesn't do anything special and is bigger. The 3DS is a pocketable clamshell. They should make a new one with better screens because the Switch 2 is just a Vita aside from the detachable joycons which don't really matter.

DS games are great to emulate on your phone tho.
Double screen result in vertical layout that fit nicely on a mobile.
Bottom screen being tactile is convenient.
Very good ratio of "looking good & being complex" vs "not designed for tremendously powerful hardware".

Since I realized this, I uninstalled all shitty actual mobile game and I'm just emulating DS stuff when out.

Yep.
Two DS screen on top of each other still leave a bunch of unused vertical space, so you can easily put the all buttons there and reach everything with a single thumb if needed.

Nintendo did, at first, promise that the 3DS line would live on and that the Switch wasn't meant to replace it.
They probably only said so to hedge their bets just in case the Switch didn't pan out; Nintendo clearly gave up on the 3DS, like a red-headed step child, in 2019 as hardware sales dropped off a cliff.
