There is literally no reason for anyone to be mad about E33. A small (white) team made a good game not based on an existing IP and it was a hit. It's the only truly feel good game industry story we've had in a decade. It's a miracle it happened in the middle of the worst hellscape the medium has ever gone through. The ONLY reason to be mad about it is if you're a FF retard who is threatened by its mere existence. They also have no reason to seethe at Metaphor. Nobody else even gives a shit about Metaphor. I was terrible at it but I started using headphones and realized they all have both visual and audio ques. I never had problems losing to bosses just optional side stuff or going to areas too early. But I got better and its pretty rewarding. I'm not going to complain a game is difficult.

I also built a picto build around being shit at the game. I just steamrolled all the enemies in 2 or 3 dungeons and didnt even need to parry till I got to the boss. Which I can actually do now.

That's not true at all. The overwhelming majority of people playing the game are not going to parry every single attack every time. Despite your best efforts you are going to get hit enough in most battles to kill you unless you pay attention to stats, turn order and strategy. The fact that you can cheese the game by training your skill in this one particular mechanic is neither here nor there, you can cheese most games in similar ways and you can in fact trivialize most RPGs by farming levels against weak mobs.
