It's not just the ending. Whatever OPs deal is here that score is fucking retarded.
The whole OST is extremely boring and repetitive.
The game prides itself on the characters and whatnot taking note of what you do but 99% of the time is ONE extra line that some NPC is having, and even if that's all you expect there are times when the should say something but don't.
As far as gameplay goes the weapons feel like there's very little thought put into them, and there's very little build variety and synergy. And besides the shitty ending, which is still as shitty after the update, the excuse for the gameplay loop is ass and you really have no reason to keep playing cause it's not likely you'll have anything more to unlock at that point, nor do you get something that makes things more interesting.
The few quests for the characters like Arachne and Dora are also written poorly, ending in a wet fart.

It's an okay game to pop in and do a run but even that is meh cause you'll quickly feel bored eventually and I'm not talking hundreds of hours, more like 40-70 hours in. Has nowhere near the replayability of Binding of Isaac for example.
Seeing people praise it, I swear it feels like looking at tumblrites praising another whale's shitty horrid drawing, that looks like what you'd expect it to, because the character in it is black + has vitiligo + is in a wheelchair + is some imaginary retarded gender.

E33 is good but it's not based.
White male main character gets switched out for the young girl who's the key to everything and you get to beat up her mean dad.
Another white male may be allowed to defeat her on a technicality due to some gay shit like player choice, but it's not decided my the devs. She's still running the show until the very last fight.

E33's Act 3 legitimately pissed me off.

On the flip side, Silksong's Act 3 made me basedface all the way.

Out of these 3 games I only ever see E33 discussed here. With Hades there was only some shitposting about nigger Olympians. Never saw anyone discuss DK, not even the nintendosloppers that I occassionally get in my youtube recommendations, I saw a bunch of vids on Mario Kart but with DK it's just crickets.

DK Bananza is my game GOTY, with Fantasy Life i being a very close runner up. Hades II would be number #3, awesome game but kinda lost interest after I completed a few runs.

Show the Metacritic score. It's even higher. Personally, I love both E33 and Hades 2, but Hades 2 is simply more fun to play.
I got my 50+ hours from E33, and the combat got a bit stale towards the end. Meanwhile, I have 200+ hours in Hades 2, and still enjoying myself.

In the end, gameplay is king, and it'll likely win.
