Tabletop Simulator
wtf they expect me to move every piece, play every card, and do everything manually? What the fuck do they think this is, a board game?

Not simulating, but got to play the WoW board game and it's really fucking fun. I think the guy had to pay like 250 bucks to get his hands on it.

Modern board games have better gameplay than modern video games, you can experience gameplay regardless of form.

I'm playing the Metal Gear Board Game https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3459715444

It's really fun, just beat the Ocelot fight, would be fun to play it with other people though.

Last tabletop game I played was X Wing with my friend. It's pretty fun, but he kept absolutely destroying me no matter what I did. After several matches, I guess I still don't understand how to git gud.
We played at a game store, but I image it's on tabletop sim too, of course. Pretty fun game.
I remember in my first match, I fucked up and crashed on of my ships into an asteroid lol
The ships have momentum mechanics, took a bit to get it down to muscle memory for me, estimating distances and turn rates.

I'm kinda hyped about this if only because of the vsAI feature since my friends only like short games

I wonder how fast a game of Twilight Imperium will be once you take out all the bookeeping and admin. If playing against AI and probably don't do any deals like in Root digital I bet you can finish TI in like 2 hours. Maybe less.

FCM is not in BGA, and even if it were, it and the other websites have terrible and wonky UI. I want a nice looking 3D version of the map and snappy controls with a good interface like pic related

Nah, not really. From my experience, once you discover the community, they tend to be super stoked to have new blood in the group, they'll love to show you the ropes and play with you.
Fa/tg/guys tend to be like for the most part.

My guy, you need to dive into the different sub communities for games. Everyone has their own niche groups for their niche interests. The artists don't come out of their shells, you need to find them instead.

Are you retarded? You can play anything alone. Just create your own server and then load up a game alone
The tabletop game itself has to support solo play but there's a metric fuckton of tabletop games that are literally designed specifically to play alone

The entire point of a board game is to play a game. If you want something physical to fiddle with, buy some Legos or Play-Doh.
Anonymous No.724617605 [Report] >>724617889
every time i see this i wanna play shit no one wants to play, i.e. rangers of shadow deep or frostgrave or five leagues from the boarderlands.

Alas i never see them. I did some 40k back in the before the coof times with a buddy but he vanished four and a half years ago.

yeah I know how it can be. I've always wanted to play a Legacy game to completion. But my group consists of people who used to have local groups they physically played games with in the past, and they've all done the Legacy games I want to do. So they have no interest in doing it again. I managed to get them to do a couple of sessions of Pandemic Legacy but it was like pulling teeth getting them to agree and then it fizzled out after like 2 games

i'd love to do any of the ones i listed off, or the league? games like gloomhaven, where you play multiple times thorough. But i remember trying to get people together for DnD, white wolf, the various 40k and fantasy pen and paper games, and it inevitably fell apart after like 1-3 games.
