Builds are really boring because you barely get any skill points. Some skills & perks just don't work so fuck you if you choose the wrong ones. Dialogue is ok when you're talking to normal people, but theres too many "haha wacky space corpo!" people. Not impressed with the companions so far but I don't have them all. Its kind of like avowed in that its not immediately offensive to my sensibilities but instead is just boring. Somehow its even less compelling than bloodlines 2 & veilguard.

I just beat it a day or two ago, solid 7.5/10 game.
I had the same kinda fun with it I would have with eurojank WRPGs.
The game is much better than the first one too, I was really disappointed by how shallow, simple and short the first game was, but this one kinda improves in all the areas I wanted it to.

My only real complaint is that for whatever reason they didn't bother giving you a quest line where you can side with the Protectorate and fix their shit, cause they seem like they could be the best option out of the main factions if not for shit going on with them at the moment

You've been able to pirate it for about a week or so now. Might as well pirate it and see how you feel about it, and then pick it up later whenever the inevitable expansion packs are out and you can get it in a bundle.
I personally liked the game, but I still don't know if I wanna pay more then 40-50 bucks for it, so I'm gonna wait for the expansions and a sale before I do another run or two.

Thankfully this game is genuinely replayable, because you will 100% be missing shit on your first run with the way the game expects you to hyper specialize in skills if you want to actually pass the tough skill checks.
A lot of people are bitching about this, but it has me excited to play the game again and make different builds/choices.
My first character was a flawmaxxing jack of all trades, and I ended up going with an alliance between the two main factions. So I'm excited to do at least two more runs eventually. A science/engineering professor background run where I use science weapons and side with The Order, and a Dumb/Psychopath/Melee build where I side with Auntie's Choice

Game is best played hard specializing in a few skills. Don't go jack of all trades.

Game allows you to be a violent retard if any of the companions annoy you.

Ending is FO3. Super speech check for best ending. Tell one of your companions to die, or die yourself. You can fuck up pretty much everything and get the same endings.

I pirated it because the first one sucked but had potential, thankfully this one is much better than the first

marginally better than the first one but it isn't saying too much. satisfying shooting, kinda shit melee, decent spread of applying different skills in the world, and one of the most bland toothless settings in vidya that makes it hard to engage with the story.
