>timeless auteur who created many masterpieces his way and giga hustler who is still hand drawing a lot of the keyframes for his movies in his late 80's
>also a highly eccentric doomer who tells it like it is instead of being a PR monkey on the leash of some shareholder or 'fanbase'
None, game creators and games are inherently inferior mediums to films, music and literature. There's also no one in the game industry with his panache or his ceaseless ardor in creating stuff for himself, his way. Miyazaki is a real director in the sense that he draws the storyboard himself and then descends and does a lot of the back-breaking animation work regardless of his age, most game directors just pitch stuff then manage team leads and have only a limited direct input into the work and creation, both creatively and technically. In that sense Miyazak is even in his industry an outlier with all the input he has on his films.
